Video Essay “A marriage hanging on luck”

Arranged marriages,  a marital union planned by the families, typically parents, of the couple, was a norm in the nearest past of Albania however, few dared to talk about it as such let alone about personal experiences of those who entered into the conjugal relation.

Under the project “ECHO III: for memory’s sake”, financially supported by Creative Europe,  through this video essay we explore the  accounts of 5 Albanian women, coming across the country, who were or are part of an arranged marriage.
