The Municipality of #Elbasan has started the work to draft the Local Volunteering Action Plan.
Volunteering is an experience that changes the individual and the community by going towards the sustainable improvement of social welfare. Aiming this, the Municipality of Elbasan Bashkia Elbasan, has started to draft the Local Volunteering Plan which will plan concrete steps to make volunteering sustainable in this city.
The Executive Director of PVN Albania, Mrs. Oltiana Rama during an interview with Skampa television describes the Municipality of Elbasan as a vanguard in volunteering, being the first Municipality which starts work on drafting the Local Volunteering Plan, in the framework of the Consortium “Local Government – Civil Society” initiated around 6 months ago. She underlines that this Local Volunteering Action Plan will be a good model for the Municipalities part of the consortium and beyond.
The representative of the Municipality of Elbasan, Mr. Ervin Muço underlines that the consolidation of volunteerism in Elbasan has been embraced by the leadership of this Municipality and it is considered very important cooperation with civil society organizations where needs analysis, capacity building activities and drafting of good practices will be performed.
The Consortium “Local Government – Civil Society for Sustainable Local Volunteering” is promoting and strengthening the cooperation between local government and civil society to enable a suitable and sustainable ground for practicing of volunteerism in Municipalities. Part of this consortium are the Municipalities of Tirana, Elbasan, Shkodra, Korça, Lushnje, Berat, Pogradec, Tropoja.
This consortium is implemented in partnership with Service Civil International (SCI)) and Kongresi Rinor Kombëtar.
