Join the Regional Conference “Young People and Volunteering: Interpersonal Development and Social Impact Through Youth Participation in Local And International Volunteering” on 5 December 2020 at 14:00 (CET) on Launch Meeting – ZoomVolunteers are not paid- not because they are worthless, but because they are pricelessIn occasion of the: – International Day of Volunteers; and – The 100th anniversary of the worldwide movement, SCI proved a real and sustainable impact on seeding and growing peace through volunteeringWe are happy to invite young people, NGOs, public and private organisations, media and all stakeholders to celebrate such an important day and share information, data, facts, models and practices, and also learn from each-other and get inspired! The Regional Conference “Young People and Volunteering” will provide a forum to discuss on two strong pillars of our interconnection: interpersonal development & empowerment, and social development. Volunteering sounds like just a word, sometimes closely associated with Solidarity. But it is much more and has a wider and deeper span of influence on everyone. It is: – a process where you give and get, – an act of democracy, – empowerment – fun – empathy and – above all the WILL, the Power of I WILL. Contributions will be provided on Peace and Regional Collaboration; Active Participation; Connection and Networking; Exploring ourselves, others and societies; Community Development; In this conference, we will share good models that promote all of the above, and real actions and support by Public Institutions, NGOs, Media and young people.
