This project strengthen Albania’s capacities for preventing violent extremism and enhancing rehabilitation and reintegration efforts. Through research, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based analysis, the initiative seeks to identify key national needs, challenges, and opportunities related to prevention, repatriation, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
As part of the project, a national study was conducted to assess Albania’s legal and institutional frameworks, existing support mechanisms, and public perceptions surrounding radicalization and violent extremism. The findings serve as a foundation for informing policies, improving coordination among institutions, and supporting the development of more effective and sustainable responses at both national and community levels.
