Summer Volunteering Opportunities in Hungary
May 27, 2025From 25 to 31 May 2025, Peace Volunteering Network was honored to represent Albania in the ACT-YOU Study Visit held in Liège, Belgium, together with youth organizations from seven European countries. This important activity, organized under the Erasmus+ Programme, brought together experienced youth workers, youth leaders, and young people with fewer opportunities to learn, connect, and collaborate for a more inclusive future.
Why ACT-YOU?
The ACT-YOU project is designed to foster active participation and professional development for youth workers, with a special focus on inclusion and diversity. The goal is to create a strong, interconnected network of organizations that are committed to improving opportunities for young people at risk of marginalization, especially those with disabilities or fewer resources.
During this study visit, PVN team members had the chance to:
✔️ Exchange good practices in youth work with partners from across Europe;
✔️ Visit local schools and organizations in Liège that have developed inclusive models to engage young people with fewer opportunities;
✔️ Learn practical tools and approaches for implementing accessible and inclusive youth initiatives;
✔️ Co-create recommendations for strengthening youth work in Europe and making it more accessible for all.
This hands-on experience allowed our team to see how inclusive policies and practices are implemented in real life in Belgium—giving us ideas and inspiration to apply in Albania and within our network of youth initiatives.
Our Commitment to Inclusion
At Peace Volunteering Network, we believe that inclusion is not just a principle—it’s a commitment. It’s about ensuring that every young person, regardless of their background, abilities, or circumstances, has the chance to grow, participate, and lead.
As part of ACT-YOU, we are now contributing to a set of European recommendations aimed at supporting youth workers across the continent in their work with young people with fewer opportunities. These recommendations will be shared widely with youth organizations, platforms, and decision-makers to inspire long-term impact.
✨ “Inclusion is more than a goal; it’s a responsibility we all share.” ✨
We are proud to continue building connections, sharing knowledge, and working alongside our European partners to ensure that no one is left behind.
🔗 Stay connected with us for upcoming initiatives that continue promoting inclusive youth work both in Albania and across Europe.
