The Diverse Voices, Common Needs training in Antwerp was an unforgettable experience, bringing together participants from across Europe to explore themes of inclusion, diversity, and community building. Representing Albania, four participants joined the program with a shared goal: to learn, connect, and bring these lessons back to their communities. The training was a rich blend of thought-provoking sessions, practical activities, and personal reflection. One memorable exercise involved teams working together to design a structure to protect an egg during a drop. The twist? Each team member faced a specific challenge: one couldn’t use their hands, another couldn’t speak, and another couldn’t see. This activity highlighted the importance of adaptability, communication, and mutual support, showing that inclusion isn’t just about acknowledging differences—it’s about working together despite them. Another impactful session focused on stress, well-being, and happiness, offering valuable tools for maintaining mental and emotional health. These discussions underscored how fostering personal well-being is essential for creating inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. Beyond the structured sessions, moments of personal reflection were woven into the experience.

A solo walk in a nearby park encouraged participants to process what they had learned and consider how to apply these lessons in their own lives.
