🗣 Call for Applications: Youth Exchange ” Empower Visually Impaired Youngsters for a more Independent Living “, 4th to 10th of October, Izmir, 🇹🇷
🟢 The youth exchange to happen in Izmir, 🇹🇷 will bring together 30 young people 👥 from 🇦🇱🇧🇪🇷🇴🇲🇰🇹🇷🇮🇪, for 7 days and will give the opportunity to experience adapted and inclusive activities and workshops in a mixed-ability group. Together with visually impaired participants will discover and develop skills for more independent living. During the youth exchange, they will develop or improve a set of soft skills, develop and build good practices in regard of in-door and outdoor activities with visually impaired/blind youngsters 🧑🦯👩🦯, and proposals to improve infrastructure and services meant to include VIPs in their local communities.
🟩 The typical, non-visual impaired participants🧍♀️, will not only take an active part in the project activities but will also have a role as facilitators and helpers for visually impaired youngsters.
🔻Profile of the participants:
🔹Youngsters between 18-30 years old;
🔹Ready to interact with their disabled/non-disabled peers in an active and supportive way;
🔹To write stories/posts/articles about their experiences in the project and then post these on their websites, and social media platforms;
🔹Participating in the preparatory meetings (on-line or face-to-face);
🔹Committed to attending for the full duration of the youth exchange;
